You're right. I reviewed my trip report and found I never climbed the south summit, so it must have looked lower as well. I'll reword the text to reflect this. I doubt there was ever a register at the south summit as I claimed.
I do think it would be good if someone did a loop over the S summit, and found that class 2 descent. That would be an excellent loop, combined with the N ascent.
I have a friend who did the N and S summits on separate days, but chose a fairly nasty way up the S.

North summit higher?I noticed that the topo map shows one extra contour loop for the North summit, compared to the South Summit.
