guess i'll mark this one down... you cross it on the way to the CT high point of Mt. Frissell.
Nice and easy. Hope I didn't get poison ivy
Fun little hike on the way to Mt. Frissell.
Steep and slippery in the drizzle. On the way to CT high point. Wish I had some views.
With Frissell & CT State Highpoint.
Hiked while on the trail to Frissell's South Slope (Connecticut's State Highpoint)
Hiked up from Hwy 41 in CT to the CT HP on the south side of Mt. Frissell, then to the summit in MA, over to Round Top, to Laurel Ridge Campground on the AT, then back to Bear Mt. and back to the start, 3618' of gain, 15.7 miles total.
Hiked up this to get to Mt Frissell for the highpoint. The rocks were covered in snow and very icy. I would recommend crampons or some type of microspikes if doing this in the winter. The view on top was great!
Came over Round Mountain on the standard route to Frissell and the CT highpoint. Great views in all directions from the top!
Well, I originally did this one 9/26/08 in the rain thinking it was Frisell. Went back to do Brace 10/2/10 and found out on the summit it was really Round Mountain so, really have done this twice now. Sunny nice day this time with great views. Went over and tagged Frissell (summit and CT highpoint) and Brace afterwards. Nice area.
