Route Overview

This view to the east from the summit of Mount Jefferson shows the overall route. The trail starts in a saddle at the right center, then roughly follows the ridge, keeping on the south side before dropping off to the north basin on the far side of the large mound near the center of the photo. From that point the ridge line can be traversed to the summit or one can contour around on the gentle terrain of the south slopes to the base of the summit mound.
