Overview

In the NE of the Hohneck, the Falimont Combe is the highest part of the Frankental which leads to the valley of the little Fecht.
The Combe is one of the wildest parts of the Vosges mountains and the steep slopes are a good ice and mountaineering schoolplace in winter.

Getting There

The Falimont combe can be reached :
- from the Route des Crêtes (crest road) over Falimont collar in the north from the Hohneck
- from the Schlucht collar over Trois Fours and GR 5
- from Stosswihr in the Munster Valley over Frankenthal

Route Description

In summer the combe is accessible for hikers on a good with yellow circles marked path.

In winter, the high comb can be skied (no tracks) or climbed with crampons. the slope is 40°.
