Follow the east bank of the pond and continue on the red-cross marked path to the Rudlin falls.
You have now to gain 500 meters difference in level through the "Hospices de Nancy" forest. The path climbs in numerous bends and crosses forest working trails.
Near the route des crêtes, turn right and leave the forest. You cross the road and reach the farm-inn of Gazon du Faing. Climb on the crest you reach near the Taubenklangfelsen. Continue in northern direction, pass near the orientation table (nice panoramic view) and continue to the main summit.

Way down
Continue in northern direction on the GR 5. You cross the Hautes Chaumes (= high pasture), a flat moorland.. At the forest edge, turn left (blue triangles). Cross the route des crêtes and continue down in western direction. After 500 meters, turn left and take the path which leads you back to the Rudlin pond.
