Ruins in Quebrada Huayuray, Peru

I could easily imagine why people don't want to live out here anymore. The rugged desert landscape may be beautiful hiking territory, it would be hard to make a living. It's much easier in the villages in the fertile Colca river valley, which lies just north of here.
