Beautiful stone steps on the trail. Hard to find some alone time on this summit, but still possible. Reason being... the views really are that good.

Wind and rain on a beautiful day.
Walked up with about 50 lbs on my back (my 3 year old plus his heavy, but comfortable, carrier pack). Cold weather kept me from overheating on the grade!

early morning hike
I slept overnight at Key’s View as the weather changed from hot and sunny to cold and windy. After a 35 minute hike to the summit I descended and had a lot of fun in the Hall of Horrors (if I weighed thirty pounds more I would not have fit through one notable crack) before the rain swept in and gave the desert some much needed rain.
Caught the last rays of a fading day as a cold wind began to blow

First time seeing Bighorn!
Went with a group of co-workers. Right out of the car, we saw a herd of about 10-12 bighorn just hanging out near the parking lot! The hike was quite enjoyable as well. Lots of views of the high desert in every direction.

Hot temps, but the wind saved us. Carried my 1 year old daughter on my back. This is my kind of hike, short and steep.

Relaxing hike
Relaxing hike on a windy day - at least the trail was empty. Climbed hard for 4 days straight and needed a break - did only 2 routes that morning (Spiderman and Colorado Crack) and then went for a hike and nice dinner at J-tree…
Great views from the summit. Had it to myself since it was very windy.

Trail - saw lots of Bighorn Sheep
A large herd of Bighorn Sheep was on/near Saddle Rocks. In all my years of rock climbing in JT, I had never seen one.
Nice day with Denice.
