Easier than expected  Sucess!

We had no trouble with the "maze" of trails. In fact, there was a trail, or rough path, all the way up. The scramble parts were very short, and nothing would rate Class 3. We were up in just over 90 minutes. Clear but very windy day.

From Sanctuary Cove  Sucess!

Nice hike with great classic Sonoran Desert scenery. We didn't see any other people on the mountain. Very enjoyable hike with great views. The scramble part was shorter than expected.

Safford   Sucess!

Nice trek up though the maze of trails around the Sanctuary Cove starting point were a little confusing along w/ the multiple directions provided by different sources that I had viewed on line.

Upon summiting a somewhat inquisitive ringtail welcomed me to the top - somewhat surprising to me as I thought they're normally nocturnal!

A couple interesting sub-summits to tag, the easterly one w/ its own pretty sizeable cairn.

Sombrero  Sucess!

This is a really cool peak that stood out to me because of its location near Tucson.

From Sanctuary Cove  Sucess!

A sunny day in the low 70s was a great opportunity to relax on a solo jaunt in the Tucson Mountain Range. I love these peaks and the Sonoran Desert plants and wildlife inhabiting them. I saw very few people on the peak, just one couple with their young kids. It was a treat to see the Ringtail on the summit!
