Sahale Mountain

Sahale Mountain

The Sahale arm is slightly covered by clouds. Above it are the Sahale Glacier and the summit peak. Our summit trip turned into an evac when one of our party slipped and was not able to self-arrest on the steep slopes in the center of this image. Conditions were bad, and it proved difficult to get ourselves and the injured member back down to cascade pass. Photographed from 6200 feet, south of cascade pass June 18, 2006.

Re: Exellent Picture of Sahale Peak!

I bet it happened in the same spot. When the snow is soft, it can be trecherous there. Was he okay?
