Saintgrizzly, Monarch Pass, 1978

A summer trip to the San Juans using the company van netted this great picture of Vern on the top of old Monarch Pass. We got the van precariously stuck on a slick, muddy bench on the Upper Last Dollar Road outside of Telluride on this trip. We realized to see the San Juans…to really see them, we had to get our own jeeps.
