Countless visits, just one sign-in  Sucess!

I've done this peak too many times to even count but I better sign it in just once. Summit registers shouldn't be this easy to reach :) Love this peak, trying not to wear it out. Favorite route is via Fuller Ridge since you can see your destination most of the way and its a ridge.

cactus to clouds  Sucess!

one of the most grueling climbs ive ever done. the rocks that say 4300 ft were extremely demoralizing, but the summit views are to die for. took the tram back down and im not ashamed

Via Marion Mtn.  Sucess!

Pretty easy climb over all. There was a small amount of snow covering portions of the trail at higher elevations. The road up to the trail head is in poor condition but still made it up there in my car. One bummer was that someone had stolen the sign from the summit.

Great view!  Sucess!

Stayed in Round Valley two nights, summitted on our layover day - highly recommend spending time on the mountain like this, it's gorgeous and peaceful at night. Not too many people hike during the week, so we often had the trail to ourselves. The climb was fun and the view spectacular!

Round Valley  Sucess!

Used tram. Nice forest and boulder hike to summit. Trail seems too flat in places. Some of the signage confusing, especially at Wellman Divide. A sign at the divide seemed to point down the trail to Humber for "Wellman Divide". Most prominent peak I've visited to date.

Barely found a parking spot at the trailhead at 8 AM. Very straightforward hike, great weather and views.

Hike from Idyllwild  Sucess!

Hiked up and down from Idyllwild via Deer Springs trail. Trail was free of snow all the way to summit. Summit was relatively warm, but hazy. Saw / met a few PCT thru hikers coming through ahead of the pack.

After Conference Hike  Sucess!

Was at a conference in Palm Springs, got out before lunch and took the tram up, hiked Miller Peak, San Jacinto Peak and Jean Peak, hardly any snow except on the offtrail descent from Jean back down to the regular trail. Got back down from the tram by 6 PM and was home in Tracy a bit after midnight. Trip report is HERE.

Cactus to Clouds  Sucess!

Third time at the peak, but the first time from the desert floor. Having done the hike from Idlywild many years ago, I would definately say that is the most seanic of the routes. However, if you want a challange and a check mark for tough trails, then C to C is the way to go. Just make certain you know the weather before commencing.

C2C  Sucess!

First hike in a long time. Started at museum trail at 4 a.m. and hit the peak around 3 p.m. Had a few leisurely stops but definitely worth it! Views from the top were spectacular.

Thunderstorms!  Sucess!

Made the trip up with few surprises, though decided to hike through the valley this time. Once at the top it started sprinkling a bit of rain. By the time we were half way down, it was pouring with lightning and thunder everywhere! Got a bit cold, and very wet, but the weather made it absolutely enjoyable!

San Jacinto Peak  Sucess!

Used the tram. Then 11 miles and 2300 ft. of elevation. Trail was PACKED...over hundred people on the trail that day. 30 on top. Still bagged the second saint guarding the city. Interesting fact, at 2pm on the summit it was 62 to 65 degrees. On the desert floor, at the Palm Springs airport at 2pm, it was 108 degrees. A 45 degree difference in 3-5 miles.
