Do I take it from the name that there's a trick to this route?

Hi Dan, No, no tricks to it, just that it feels a lot harder than the 10c rating. It's also quite risky trying to lead it. The bottom cracks bottom out too quick and don't take pro very well. I'll be posting a route page on this tonight.

Thank you, Farnoosh. There are thousands of rock formations in Joshua Tree National Park. The great majority of them are only one pitch long, but the diversity is great. I hope you can visit this area some day.
