many trips  Sucess!

did all 14ers except Culebra, somehow cannot make myself to pay hike a 14er with a group of people. I enjoy solitude in the mountains. Now working on getting all 13ers - work in progress.

Really special place  Sucess!

Explored the Medano Pass area. These mountains felt rugged and remote and not too heavily trafficked. Hope to be back soon.

Love the Sangres...  Sucess!

Been there many times as they are the closest mountains to my home in Ark. Blanca was my first 14er (solo). This summer the kids and I climbed Tijeras. The Crestones are next.

South Colony Lakes  Sucess!

Near the tail-end of our 2009 Colorado road trip, I wanted to squeeze in a summit of Crestone Needle, but since the rest of the family was getting restless (wanted to leave Westcliffe to go to Aspen sooner) and this was our first family mountain trip and I wanted to stay out of the doghouse, my brothers and I decided to just quickly hike to the lower and upper South Colony Lakes instead.

many peaks  Sucess!

I used to live in NM and explored the New Mexico part of Sangres very often. I also had many trips to Colorado's Sangres: all 14ers, some 13ers, many trips to Great Sand Dunes. Lovely area.

Lived here for 6 years here  Sucess!

This place is right up there with the Grand Tetons. Challenging hikes and world-class climbs. Heaven-on-earth feeling. The trails are not overrun with people. There are lots of hot springs are nearby to help you gradually ease back into society if you can get yourself to leave the backcountry.

Overlooked Glory  Sucess!

One of the most overlooked ranges in Colorado. Full of challenging peaks, sublime lakes and in winter, GUARANTEED solitude.
Seeing the entire width of this range from the summit of Cottonwood, Eagle or Blanca Peak is amazing. A very unique place in Colorado.
