Santa Elena Canyon after the Flood

My son, Curtis, hikes along the Santa Elena Canyon Trail in Big Bend National Park, TX. This was three days after high waters had flooded the trail, closing it until only a few hours before we began our hike. Many areas remained very muddy and slippery. Imaged in August 2005.
