It took me a little under four hours to get here from the summit of Basin, which was 11 hours from when I left my car. This was the last summit of the day, with only downhill afterwards. The total seven summit day (the Wolf Jaws, Armstrong, Gothics, Saddleback, Basin, and this) came in at fourteen hours.

Powder snow
Climbed with my son and husband. Used snowshoes. Never needed the ice ax we carried. Snowed 2-4" inches during our hike then the skies parted while we close to the summit and we got to see the range. Loads of fun. Great hike. Nice view of a very frozen Rainbow falls.

Perfect Winter Climb
Out group of three started the day by setting up our tents at the Gill Brooke sites, then dropped our gear and headed to Sawteeth. The conditions were cold with firm icy snow. The summit was windy but with perfect blue Skies. We couldn't have asked for a better day. #40 on my list.

Perfect Spring Day
Hiked up the scenic trail to Sawteeth, then over to Pyramid Peak and Gothics. Returned via the Beaver Meadow trail. Plenty of snow and ice higher up. Beautiful day out, doesn't get any better! A long and challenging loop, but SO glad I went up the scenic trail. I highly recommend that trail, even though it's tougher than the northern approach.

On my way to Gothics
Came up from the lake, stopped off here before continuing to Pyramid and Gothics.
Hiked Sawteeth 4100' as my first Adirondack High Peak. Hiked in from Lake Road and then proceeded on the Trail to Gothics after crossing the river near the Lower Ausable Dam. Took us around 8.5 hours traveling a total of around 12 miles. The last 800 feet to the summit was still covered in at least 2 feet of snow and made the trip much harder due to our lack of proper equipment in certain steep and icey sections. The summit had a great view of Gothics but not much else. Sawteeth was a good first hike.
Hiked to Basin from Slant Rock and to Saddleback. After lunch we did Gothic and Pyramid Peak. On the way down we hit Sawteeth. Only remaining was the long walk back to the car in St Huberts. Long day, but super view all around especially on Pyramid!

Scenic Trail Indeed
Took West River Trail to Lower Ausable Lake, tough climb up Sawteeth, but great views from overlooks on the Scenic Trail & summit, descended via Weld Trail past Rainbow Falls, my favorite ADK waterfall.
One summit to date, solid views, distant perspective to that of Pyramid

From Ausable Club
Took Lake Road to Weld trail (up and back) on probably the most beautiful winter day- 50, sunny, and no wind at all. Awesome mountain with views
Great hike with a few cool rock steps. avoid the road on the way back from the Ausable club and pass a few water falls

Sawteeth
Climbed via Sawteeth Mountain Trail from the Ausable Club. Made a side trip to Rainbow Falls; highly recommended. By the time we made it to Cougar's Notch we were soaked through. Got some great views from the summit during this rainy day. After returning to the trailhead we stoped in Keene Valley for some pie at the Noonmark Diner. I recommend the raspberry.
