No, no, no error as to the date I indicated! It was just amazing how early everything, even the highest peaks, was ready to be hiked up without touching any snow! I travelled from Salzburg to the Flüela pass and went up the mountain that same afternoon following the trail leading up Val Radönt to Schwarzhornfurgga and from there straight up to the summit. It was a fine and warm day with a great view. Technical difficulties: none. I went back the same way and stayed overnight at the Flüela Hospiz.
Quite nice weather, compared to other part of Switzerland on that day
In 1995 Vereina rail tunnel did not exist so Flüela pass road was held open the whole year and provided a good start pont for starting the ski season. We climbed Radüner Rothorn in addition where we found the bettter snow.
A nice ski tour by the Fluela pass
From Flüela pass 2.383m to Flüela Schwarzhorn 3.137m, Radüner Rothorn 3.022m and back.
