Windy August Afternoon Atop Lofty Peak
Enjoyed a PB&J with banana slices sandwich lunch at the summit of Lofty Peak. Windy. Beautiful August afternoon. Easy route up Lofty directly to the weather equipment area seems to be departing from trail near middle of lake.

Scout only - fun / easy
Visiting Cousin Nicki in SLC - didn't know anything about these peaks other than we were going to hike this loop while in town. Once at the pass doing a counterclockwise circuit of the Lofty Lake loop, scrambled off to the side and tagged Scout. Whole four and a half mile loop as well as the summit climbed in chacos : ) nice to get up high again (ankle fusion doing well)

Lofty and Scout via Lofty Lake Loop
Beautiful hike. Did the loop clockwise from the parking lot. Awesome views of the high Uinta peaks all around. Lots of people on the trail this time of year, but only one other person on Scout and nobody on Lofty. Some boulder hopping near the top, but not bad. Hiked with RDB. About 5.8 miles to hike the loop and the peaks.
Climbed Lofty/Cutthroat during a counter-clockwise hike of the Lofty Lake Loop on beautiful morning of July 3, 2017. Nibbled on a Clif Bar and enjoyed the breeze near the weather-vane/wind-sensor at summit.

Fun day in Uintas
Went out with intention to explore routes to Agassiz, Hayden, Kletting and A1. Ended up doing Murdock, and these two bad boys. Was a gorgeous day! I love the Uintas.

8/17/2002 Climbed Lofty/Cutthroat, Scout, and 10975
8/26/2000 Climbed Mt Marsell, 11197, Cuberant Peak, Whiskey Island Peak, and Lofty/Cutthroat Peak. Had to abort Scout Peak and 10975 due to thunderstorm.

Scout and Lofty
Went to the Uintas to escape the hot weather. Climbed these peaks via the Lofty Lake loop. It is a very pretty area. I also did this hike in August 1995 and 1996 and late October 2002. This is one of the few hikes that my sister enjoyed and she doesn’t hike very much.
