Perfect day!
A nice early b-day present for myself! Got off work to hit this classic up. Awesome day and real fun route. Swapped leads with Mike, I ended up with P2 & P4 (chimney - fun).

Such fun!
Great climb, though with a sick partner...went over to the JMT, but couldn't find the right descent and did some nasty slab action down...

Crowded
Probably one of the coolest summits that I have had the chance to stand on. Amazing views in an amazing location. The SE Buttress had about 50 people on it the day we climbed it! We also wanted to bypass people so we started a little further to the right then most people. We ran into some sketch stuff and lot of hollow, crappy flakes. We almost made the climb too spicy!

Five fun climbing
Many soloists out. Probably easy enough to solo but we pitched it out.
Late start and late finish accordingly, climbed with Murad A. Had the route to ourselves.

Free Solo On-Sight
Knew with the many variations at 5.6-8, this would be a good one for an on-sight free solo....but with no beta...I did start too far left...too much moss=chossy slab...after hairy down climbing slab back over overhangs...I got right on it with that hand crack...goes fast...loved the many options...chimney was awesome....some idiot dumped a tank load of chalk on the summit...come on people...when I got back to the base of the climb, three parties were still fiddling with the first two pitches, every one of them with arcteryx like jackets and pants on....hottest day of the year...I was bitching with a razor thin tshirt...you west coasters are tough
Swapped leads with Josh. We weren't sure where to go after the chimney pitch and wandered a bit. Finally we figured out to trend left, then back right. Great day.

Great go on a Wednesday
Not too crowded on a wed. The chimney was interesting with a pack, the fifth pitch was best

SE ButtressMy first "real" climb (class 5) up to a peak! So happy~
Surprisingly not crowded. No one was on the route when we reached the base. Then the party arrived later never caught up with us.
Fun climb + great view - the crowd = what an awesome day!
