Seblaskogel summit pano S

South pano from the foot of the summit ridge at about 3160m. In the foreground the snowfield of Grüne-Tatzen-Ferner, which leads down to Westfalenhaus, bordered to the right by the ridge which is passed on the way from/to Winnebachseehütte. Schrankogel is perfectly visible in the center background, while Ruderhofspitze is marked with a black arrow. Taken 26-10-2008.

Indeed a very beautiful one, as I realize even more in hindsight than on the actual tour.

We had been

attempting to climb the Seblaskogel from the Westfalenhaus in July 1954, but had been stopped by snow that reached us to the waist!
