Sections 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the West Shoulder Route as seen from Buck Creek Trail to the east on August 18, 2002. Section 2 is the Timbered East Ridge of Mt. Cleator. Section 3 is the basin below High Pass. Section 4 is the ramp that rounds the corner of the East Buttress of Mt. Berge. And Section 5 is the basin left (south) of this buttress. Only the first half of Section 5 is visible.

Should have studied it

We never did find the way past the east buttress of Mt. Berge. We went too low.
