Great Trail, Great Vies
Living here for the summer, hiked up the observation point trail Tuesday to get bearings. Going to be a great running trail for the summer!

seneca rocks!
First nice weekend of the year, the place was empty and great weather. Hiked the trail up to the top with 2 year old strapped to my back. Fun watching climbers.

Nice trail
Did my first ever trail run down the switchbacks of Seneca. I was inspired by an old woman doing the same on my previous trip- only she was running up!

Came back for No Dally Alley and the Gunsight
Rope hung up in the No Dally Alley - east face climb.
Super exposure and esay routes for a beginner. Got to the South Summit on a cold day using the Old Ladies' Route. First pitch of Skyine Traverse. Several routes to the Broadway Ledge on the east side of the fin. Do not rappel to the east unless you are ready for a battle with brush.
An amazing place with so much climbing history and ethics. sport climbing is neither. I recommend traffic jam to finish up to the summit. other recommendations lower on the peak are skyline (best 5.3 ever), ecstasy, triple s and pollux. wish I could get here more often...
Climbed south face in one pitch (70M half ropes), bad idea. Wound up fine, but a little off course. From there, three more pitches on West Face of the South Peak to the summit scramble. Best part of half ropes: it took one repel to get all the way back down.

RV trip
Done this during our 9 person RV trip. Awesome rock formations! Some of the kids did some rock climbing lessons, too. I did not. :) The campground we stayed at was very very pretty and well maintained. Glad we stopped here!

Easy Hike + Scrambling
Easy hike up made a little harder by a fast pace (to get in shape for Borah and King's later this month!). View from the ob deck stinks, but the scrambling on the knife edge made up for it. Would like to come back and try some 5th class stuff sometime.

Windy!
Encountered gale force winds which continued unabated all day. Climbed Worrel's Thicket - 3 pitches, Up & Coming - 2 pitches, and 1st pitch of Prune. First time @ Seneca (and rock climbing) in over 14 years. Looking forward to returning here in the spring!

North and South PeaksRock climbing with the boys. The summit is breezy. Someone left a cold six pack in the register box. That's a first for me

Seneca RocksI made the standard hike from the visitor center and scrambled all over the top. One of the neatest places in the eastern US.
