trailhead vandalismYou seem to do a lot of climbing in this area. I haven't in years (the Pecos Wild). I hear that vandalism has become a big concern. I want to do Jicarita in July. Is there another trailhead for this peak besides the one off hwy 518? I love your work. Beautiful!

I've been hiking/climbing in Pecos for some time and never had problems, but I've heard about trailhead vandalism, especially at Quemado and Borrego Mesa trailheads. The Alamitos TH off Hwy 518 provides the easiest access to Jicarita. You can also start from Santa Barbara TH, but it is 2 more miles and an additional ~1,500 ft of elevation gain.
