"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Different routeWe picked a different route than described here by Surgent and never encountered any exposed class 3 scrambling. We came up a drainage/canyon exactly north of the summit and popped out on the summit ridge just below the actual highpoint. We had to negotiate a couple of dryfalls in the drainage but nothing worse than a couple low class 3 moves. Our roundtrip distance was a little less than 5 miles and it took us about 7 hours. The views were stunning!

Well worth the effortSecond of two peaks for me over the weekend. Went with John Klein, Adam Helman, Scott Peavy, Scott and Tanya Kelley. The ridge from the saddle to the summit is exposed and intimidating, but there's always a way through, if you don't mind some exposure in spots. Trip Report

SheepishLots of scrambling along the ridge. My partners felt an earthquake (confirmed by USGS) while we were lounging on the summit.
