Shelter Rock in Royal Basin. The trail goes right past it. How big is it? That small tree near to it at center is about seven feet tall. You could camp underneath that overhang at right. The boulder is really a conglomeration of pillow lava boulders. It's quite a sight. September 17, 2005.
