Shirley (right...daydreaming about warm sandstone climbing....as was I :) for that matter...the pain of hiking the ski slopes in the middle of the night ), Steve L., Jae E., and Mark M. on approach (skirting the west side of White River Glacier) to the base of Wy’East, Steel Cliff Gullies route (lower portion indicated in yellow including the "ramp" atop Steel Cliffs; May 7, 2005).

Nice route overview

Good photo Radek. I have to say, I prefer the warm sandstone shots, too! But at least it looks like you did an interesting route - much better than the south side slog!

We met Haydar at Timberline at 2am before we started - apparently he too is into this Hood masochism... :)

Yeah we were commenting on what a weird subculture we all belong to - meeting up with friends at 3am in a cold, windy, rainy Timberline parking lot. Fun!

Hey man if it wasn't for your news that the upper mountain was clear we were about to bail but what else can you do at Tline at 2-3 am in the morning :) Was nice to see you up there, great shots of a cool looking route, sure beats the south side.

Ditto here - was good to run into you up there (middle of night at the socked in Timberline L.) - good to see we're not the only ones with mental issues :)
