a sense of great remoteness
Indeed! Shishapangma is probably my favourite 8000er. I had the chance to be there once on a 31 December, that was an extraordinary feeling of cold and remoteness!
The sense of depth is remarkable.
Shisha Pangma looks like it is 1000 miles away yet at the same time seems you can reach out and touch it, if you follow me?
I follow you... That's probably one of the places I prefer in the whole Himalaya.
First time I reached Sishapangma BC, I was on a bicycle trip from Central Asia, and was alone there for the 3-4 days I stayed at the foot of the mountain. This mountain has an incredible attration power, and I only left as I ran out of food. This kind of memories can never be forgotten.
