Cold, clear day
Nice views from the top and a nice hike. Unfortunately travel both to and from the trailhead at Winding Stair Gap were significantly slowed by traffic. This kind of put a damper on the day.
Met one SoBo thru hiker on the way out.

AT NoBo from Siler Bald Shelter
This was a dynamite little side trip. If not for the fact that we were eager to eat dinner and go to bed, this would have made a fantastic sundown hike. Great side-trip, don't skip it!
