Rarely visited
Topo maps and satellite views were helpful in finding the road access. Enjoyed the ascent route - leather gloves and mountaineering boots helped. Great view of Ragged Top from the summit.

With mstender and Scott Peavy. Lovely hike, cool day, great views, lots of cactus and loose rocks, but enjoyable. You use all the muscle groups on this peak.

Ankle buster ridge
Hiked with Surgent. Great scenery and one of the best ridge scrambles in AZ. Twisted my ankle real bad on that rocky ridge coming off the summit and had to walk out for another 3 hours on a badly sprained ankle. I really enjoyed the ridge scramble though. Overall tougher than the round trip mileage would indicate. Big desert peak with nice views.
