think i almost made it there
on my first trip to Glacier in 2007. that ridge just looked too enticing to not run up it for awhile! i think i made it to a large, steep gap just before Point 8490 and decided to turn back, for i had a friend patiently waiting for me back at the large cairn marking the Siyeh Pass Trail's highpoint. great views down that sheer face to the north!

Great Route AdditionNice work on this Bob. This seems like a cool side trip for those who do need to escape for a brief interlude of climbing/scrambling.
