On my last day off of the season. Edwards' quote about 9190 "and it looks difficult.....but turns out to be a walk-up" was my catch phrase for the day. The other two with me might not have agreed with that, but it was enough to convince them to not turn back.

The Skyline Experience Extended
Solo on The Skyline Experience and added the whole length of the wall above Siyeh Glacier, till the huge gap separrating it from Allen Mt.
Unfortunately, after reaching Mt. Siyeh, a huge snow storm unleashed it's anger. That meant navigating the no mans land that is the wall, became really a challenge. Lots of cliffs, climbing and downclimbing class 5+, mabe more. When I reached that gap it, the sun was already setting so I had to descend to Piegan Pass Trail and go back to Swiftcurrent parking lot.
The original plan was to add Allen Mt. to the Experience... Mabe next tine.
WARNING: Do not attempt this unless you are an experienced mountain climber. Climbing gear necessary! Stay safe

Walking along the Skyline
What to say?
Other than a truly amazing climb! I met my buddy who's a Ranger on the West side, pulling into camp at 2am. With a 5am start, and plenty of bushwacking leaving the raging creek to Wynn's summit, there was still not nearly enough snow for early July.
We took about 13 hrs for the 20+ mile round trip back to the Swiftcurrent parking lot. The decent definitely had a lot of loose rock, but luckily we found a nice snow gully remaining to ski down. Would definitely do this again in a heartbeat!

Partial 'Experience'
Going-to-the-Sun Road had an evening closure so I figured I wouldn't be able to complete the full traverse in time. I was able to make it up Wynn by taking a route a bit to the south though -- closer to Pk 9190 -- then traversing to Wynn's summit and down the big scree gully and back down the creek to the Many Glacier area, so I completed part of the Skyline Experience but I'll have to finish it next time!
full day off-trail experience. Summer 2010. Amazing day on the ridge! Should have come down the Siyeh bend side though.

Challenging descent, but made it!
Did the Skyline Experience (Wynn to Siyeh). Finding the descent down Siyeh was not easy -- we wasted valuable time on a very steep, nasty scree field on the west face of Siyeh but eventually found the proper descent gulley on the south face. Route took just over 13 hours and provided amazing views.
Climbed this in reverse (Siyeh to Wynn)--it was great to get the major elevation gain out of the way early and finish at a hotel...with a bar. Beautiful day, but the fierce wind meant we had to steer clear of those many sheer faces.

Wynn to Sieyh
Climbed with 4 or 5 OTHG members dropping into Preston Park before Cracker
Also climbed 8/7/97 with Dick Chapin skipping Mt Wynn but tagging Pk 9190, Cracker and Sieyh spotting a wolverine on the slopes above Cracker lake
