Directions could be better on this page. Found my way on this one but took way more time that it should have. Wish I would have chosen something else. This place seemed to be where the locals drink, shoot and litter.
A great little jaunt... My friends Andrew and Rachel and I were working in McMinnville the summer between our sophomore and junior years at Linfield College. None of us had a car and so one Friday afternoon we just decided to get out of Dodge on our bikes. Andrew had been up to Slide Mountain before so we followed him higher and higher into the foothills. Because we started in the late afternoon it was dark by the time we got to the top. We camped at the top and woke up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise. I couldn't believe the crystal clear view we had across the Willamette Valley to Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson and the other mountains in the Cascade Range. Then before the sun got very high in the sky we hiked and rode back to McMinnville.
