Did it with some friends on the first day of a hiking trip in the area. Definitely some steep trail sections.
Hiked the whole thing many years ago with a group in July of 1970 and can't find my pictures. But if I do I'll scan and post them.
Climbed this mountain on the first day of my thru-hike of the Loyalsock Trail with a college friend. We were rather annoyed by the uphill climbing to get there and were tired by the top. What a way to start a 4 day, 60 mile trek!
Fun day with good friends! Didn't feel so good in the morning, but, as I believe, the elevation made me feel better by the end, as it almost always does! Snow was neat as it came and went by the time we reached the views.
Gorgeous place. We were in and out of the snow showers all day, but we did still get a few nice views. This is a very rugged mountain for a state like PA. Great place!
