Smoky Dawn

Mount Wilbur at dawn in Glacier National Park, Montana. There is a thick inversion blanketing the Many Glacier Valley area, and smoke from the 2003 fires is making it. As the day warmed, the smoke rose and ruined views for the rest of the day. Light ash showers also characterized much of the afternoon, and sometimes the falling ash was still warm. This photo is from a ridge above the Grinnell Glacier Overlook near Granite Park Chalet.

I agree, Tomek, about Glacier. To me, it is the most beautiful place in the U.S.
