Snow Traverse

This is what it looked like crossing the traverse at the head of the drainage dividing the northern and northwestern ridges on Pinnacle Butte NE. Staying on the crest, I found the going easy, but a slip would put you on a steep slope, and in late summer or a dry year, this crossing could be over steep and loose dirt and scree.
