Date Climbed: August 2, 2002  Sucess!

Pushed up mountain bike as the trail was quite steep. Downhill was nice, though. Can be done as a side trip to the Flume trail.

Route Climbed: SE canyon side and North Canyon Date Climbed: several times in the late 1990s and early 2000s  Sucess!

As noted is other posts, you can mountain bike almost to the top. I took a cross country route of the King's Canyon road and hiked northeast to the peak, but the thick brush in parts was a nuisance.

A pretty easy hike, can be done on a bike, too. Very short trip report

Route Climbed: Cross country from Spooner Lake road Date Climbed: April 10, 2003  Sucess!

I decided that this would make a good snowshoe hike but didn't need the shoes until near the summit as the snow was consolidated enough to hold my weight. The views from the summit were outstanding and were really special over towards Lake Tahoe. Mt. Rose to the north, Mt. Tallac and Freel Peak were visible to the south as well as all of the other peaks that ring Lake Tahoe.
