From Rhyd Ddu
Did this as part of a larger circuit starting at Rhyd Ddu, climbing to Snowdon summit via the Rhyd Ddu path, to Y Llywedd, down to Pen-y-Pass, back up to the summit via Crib Goch and back to Rhyd Ddu via Bwich Cwmillan (near Quarry Upper Reservoir). Great hike.

Stunning
Amazing views all the way around. Met very few people on the route, despite it being a bank holiday Monday.

What a place!
Visiting Snowdonia for the first time with our British hosts Pat and Martin we scrambled the traverse on a brisk, windy day. Wonderful views, great place to be with loved one and friends.

Have done it without the traverse of Lliwedd.

First timer!
A wet and wild crossing of Crib Goch and followed the path round to the summit of Snowdon. Great view of the inside of a cloud. Due to the day getting on and to get a better view of the lakes we descended by the Miner's track, cutting out the rest of the horseshoe. Great route!

One of the classic UK scrambles.
One of the first major hill excursions I did - and repeated a few times over the years.
...in August 1992. On one day I went up Snowdon via Miner's Track and down via Y Lliwedd, and on another day I went up Snowdon via Crib Goch and down via Pyg Track.
Several times, and it never fails to entertain. Climbed many of the classic ridges in the UK. Still think Crib Goch is up there with the best. Best tackled very early in the morning or late in the evening when it's free from crowds and you can enjoy the pinnacles without queueing.

Start of the Welsh 3000s
The first time was at the start of an attempt at the 14 Peaks with the Ford Climbing Club (Halewood). There were eight of us in the group and we all made it around, starting on Lliwedd and dropping down from Crib Goch into Nant Peris. It is an excellent ridge walk and never seems to be the same 2 times running.
We did the slightly shorter route twice, but will do the bit we missed soon I'm sure......so I have ticked the box. A fine area, great to keep off the tourest paths for a while, snowdon is such a great mountain, its nice to see it from a more remote route.

What a ridgeWhat a fantastic scramble. The section along the crest of Crib Goch must be one of the best walks in the UK.
