With Alpine Walk, some snowshoeing at the higher elevations. Trip Report.
Leaves were rocking some nice shades of yellow, weather was perfect, and minimal residual snow persisting. Great day outside with peeps and pooches.
Started out from the Thomas Creek trailhead around 9:00 A.M. and reached the top around 12:30. The last two miles saw around 18 inches of snow with approximately four foot drifts.
Great winter day starting with Mount Rose, over Church and all the way out to Snowflower before heading home.
Snow hit the mountains the first week of June. The last 1,000 feet was covered in snow and wet. However, it wasn't too hard to follow. We had a group of 9 start the hike, and all of them reached the summit.
