Snowshoe ascent of Nuvolau

Christmas day 2014

Marie and I made the short ascent of Nuvolau (2575m) using snowshoes from the Rifugio Scoiattoli in perfect although, freezing cold weather. I suspect this is an often done route as we were accompanied by a number of other peope wearing snowshoes or skis.

On a crystal clear Christmas day, we had superb views both near and far.
