Really nice area with some nice summits and most importantly numbers of beautiful lakes. I summited al peaks around here but definitely coming back again.

Beautiful Chain Lakes
Spent a few days exploring this beautiful area with the family. We hiked along Lookout Lake for some fishing at dusk (the fish were biting so much that two of our kids caught a fish on their very first cast), explored off-trail all the way around Libby Lake with the kids and their cousins taking turns rowing the canoe out to the little island in the middle, and walked along the south shore of Lake Marie. We also hiked to the top of Medicine Bow Peak, which was probably the highlight of the trip.

Love this area
I love this area. I live in northern Colorado and keep coming back to hike and fish. It's never crowded and is a short drive from Fort Collins. Shhhh! Don't spoil the secret...

Beautiful area!I used to work for the Medicine Bow-Routt NF's - worked around and hiked around much of the Snowy Range. Climbed Medicine Bow Peak August 4, 2001
