Rising Sun to Solstice Canyon
Canyon views were outstanding. What a marvelous oasis in the Santa Monica foothills! SoCalHiker is right - this is a beautiful, short "getting out" hike -- and only minor crowding on a summer weekday.

Many times
i have visited that canyon many times over the years. The loop along Solstice Canyon and back via the Rising Sun trail is a beautiful, short "getting out" hike close to the city.
