South and West Peaks
At first glance Black Butte looks like a simple volcanic cone. Get into it however and you soon discover a lot of "internal" variance. The photo was taken about 100m from the main trail and shows the sub-summit to the south and part of that to the west of the main summit. May 01, 2007. Quite a desolate spot.
