South from the East Ridge of Conness
A little left of and below center is Alpine Lake, almost entirely icebound still. The sharp peak at the top left of the picture is Mount Dana, which is Yosemite’s second-highest summit and which I would climb the next morning. In the distance on the right, very small, is snowy Mount Lyell, Yosemite’s highest peak.
