Hi Jason, great page on South Lake Tahoe! I'd like to add that Sports LTD does have a good selection of climbing and camping gear. Freshies restaurant deserves a mention since it's probably the best place in town for moderately priced food. It's between Bank of America and Fremont Street.
Jason, I forgot to mention Grass Roots Natural foods store. They have a good selection of reasonably-priced, high-quality organic produce. It's near the Y.

Nice work !I only just saw this .. FYI there are also several ice climbing venues in the area, among them Eagle Creek Canyon.
