South Mound, Wisconsin

South Mound is located on private property in Clark County, Wisconsin.  Not many climbers get permission to hike this ranked summit, but for those who do, it is a rewarding climb.  There is an impressive amount of rock that is somewhat obscured by all the trees.  Long ago, a fire tower was located at the far end.  It provides a great view of the surrounding area, including Central Mound and North Mound just a few miles north.
