Spring 2005, my brother and I hiked up rock canyon and camped in the woods above Dry Fork. Our plan was to hike up the south ridge, but he trail was buried in the avalanche runoff below the couloir and when we couldn't find it we decided to try our luck on the couloir instead. We probably made it to just below 9000 ft, but around noon the snow was getting a little too soft for comfort and we decided to bail.
