Southern (3920m.) and...

Southern (3920m.) and Oriental (3892m.) summits of the Aiguilles De Trelatete, seen from more or less halfway up the south-east ridge of Aiguille De Glaciers. Mt. Blanc can be seen peeking up on the background. This picture was taken in August 1978 - today, the beautiful snowslope coming down from the ridge between the two Trelatete summits is very often completely dry in high summer. This picture (one of the very few watchable pics I've ever done!) shows how deceiving MB weather can be - less than two hours later, the blue sky had turned dark gray, and a major storm hit the area.
