Always more
Angelus, Lewis Pass, Arthur's Pass, the Hooker, the Matukituki, Franz Josef, Fiordland... I've only scratched the surface.

no cook, no problem
worst summer mountain weather in new zealand in 30 years prevented us from getting a shot at cook or aspiring. nonetheless, we did have a great hike in mount cook national park(ollivier) while the avalanche conditions higher up weren't acceptable. next time!

Mega
Been rolling round down here for a couple of months after some years on the North Island. Just back from summiting Mt Armstrong via some improvisation, no page yet but when I run out of other things to climb I'll get on it! Same for the Cascade Traverse, Ithmus Peak, Mt Owen, Knuckle Hill, Mt Stokes, Lake Angelus circuit and maybe some others.

Mostly Paragliding, but some climbing & tramping
I was born in NZ more years ago than I'd care to remember but didn't live there properly until 1992-1998. I'd climbed Mt Murchison in 1982 with a cousin, Anne-Thea - but most spectacular experience was winter (June) 1994 when I made a solo climb of Mt Rolleston and then a paraglider descent back down through a hole in the sea of cloud below - at sunset. I did a lot of paragliding at various places in southern Alps and Banks Peninsular - and climbed a few peaks in process - only one (Mount Fyffe) which has a page on SP at the moment.
Hopefully some kiwis will get active on this site and start posting - they have some fantastic stuff to share down there - sadly I don't have enough material.

Beautiful Aotearoa
Some of the most majestic beauty in the world! It's no wonder that everyone who comes to the alps finds it very difficult to leave. xx
Didn't do any mountaineering but hiked in the Mount Aspiring, Mount Cook and Arthur's Pass National Parks. Also climbed and bouldered at Castle Hill and Wanaka.
