Re: 10/10Thank you! We've had a strange winter this year which has made good ice conditions. Very cold temps during January and February but not much snow.

FantasticImpressive shot, especially that people are included so we have correct perspective. Without them shot will be OK but nothing more. Bravo.

Re: FantasticThanks! Yes, there are two climbers in the photo. This is the longest vertical ice climb in the area so that is why they look so tiny.

Re: That is a fun climbThank you, Jerry! Provo Canyon is great. After looking at most of your photos I'm sure that you and your son will like Santaquin Canyon also.

WowThat looks REALLY fun! Nice photo!

Re: WowThanks! The first pitch goes up to a wide ledge. The route narrows down toward the top. Most people only climb a few pitches and then rappel down. The upper part of the route doesn't always form so it is climbed less often.

I saw it!I recognize that place from driving through Provo Canyon earlier this year, I even have a picture of it. Didn't realize it was that big....

Re: I saw it!Thank you! This is a long ice flow. In Utah it’s big but compared to the Canadian Rockies it’s probably just average.

Re: Spectacular!Provo Canyon is a great place with easy access. I use to ice climb but leg injuries have resulted in me choosing to do easier things in winter.

ImpressiveLooks like there soloing the route, looks like fun but count me out. Although I really do want to get into ice climbing, I have ice tools and such.

Re: ImpressiveThanks Josh! There are two climbers. The person below is belaying the other who is climbing above and diagonal. The rope is there but a little hard to see in photo.

Re: ImpressiveI took another look at the photo which the first time I found the climber, now when I took a second look I found the belayer as well as the rope. Now it looks reasonable.
