Trail directions vs signs

We were confused by the directions given on this page because they don't match the trail signs that are there now (Jun 2014). When we got to the junction of the trail to the mine and the trail to the lakes, the sign directed us to follow the route past the mine to Crestone Needle. The directions on this route page seem to say that you have to go to the lower lake. Either trail will actually get you to the same spot, so I'm not sure why the trail signs directed us onto the mine trail.

Re: Trail directions vs signs

Sorry. Not sure what the mine trail is. At the "Crestone Needle Standard Route" sign, you turn left and head up to Broken Hand Pass for the south face route on the Needle. If this sign is no longer there, then I'll change the route description to not include the sign. The sign is just before getting to the lower lake....so you almost get to the lower lake before turning up to Broken Hand Pass.
