Standing on Cannon Mtn, NH 1981

Cannon Mountain, New Hampshire - August, 1981

A much younger me with longer hair! After riding the gondola to the top of Cannon Mountain my husband and I hiked around. It was part of our 10th Anniversary trip to New England covering New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. I am wearing the parka I made from a Frostline kit complete with lining, big pocket in the back of the jacket which worked as a daypack, large bellow pockets and hood.

Scanned from an instamatic camera picture

What a fantastic contribution to the Back in the Day album!

The hair! (Lovely!!!)
The tennis shoes!
The cuffs on the jeans!

All of it - fantastic. Thanks for posting!

Sarah - Glad you are enjoying my 'past'! I forgot to put in the description that I am wearing a Frostline kit parka that I sewed myself. I think I'll add that today.

And thank you for the hair compliment! It's hard to remember when hair parts were simply straight lines not criss-cross like they are today!

I agree...

Daily compliments were probably the norm; with wonderful hair like that!

That is a serious "part" down the middle of your skull! Classic! Awesome!

Re: Dang!

Definitely a 'heavy part' too since my hair was extremely thick too! It was soooo the style then....

I have seen the light and now have much shorter hair with no real part!
